Office of Wellness and Resilience

The kuleana (responsibility; privilege) of the Office of Wellness and Resilience is to strengthen our state service systems, using hope-centered principles to create a trauma-informed state. We break down barriers that impact the well-being of Hawai‘i’s people – from keiki to kūpuna.

The 2026 Hawai’i Quality of Life Survey is now LIVE!

Share Your Voice, Shape Hawaii’s Future

In partnership with the Health Policy Initiative at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, we’re conducting the Hawai‘i Quality of Life Survey again to update the data and strengthen the decisions that matter most to you, whether in your community, workplace, or for state-level efforts. By sharing your experiences, you will help improve the well-being of Hawai‘i’s people today and for future generations. This anonymous, 10-20 minute survey is open to Hawaiʻi residents 18+ years old.

Broad participation is key to ensuring the survey reflects the diverse experiences of communities across Hawai‘i so please share far and wide.

A New Free Story-Based Mental Health Resource
for All Hawaiʻi Residents This May

This Mental Health Awareness Month, every Hawaiʻi resident age 10 and older has free access to an award-winning mental health education program — and it only takes a few minutes to get started.

The Creative Coping Toolkit: Angst Program uses a powerful 43-minute documentary film and guided activities to help people of all ages understand anxiety, manage stress, and feel less alone. Watch it on any internet-connected device — at home, at school, or in your community — completely free at impactfulhawaii.org through May 31.

This initiative is brought to you by Impactful Fund in collaboration with the Hawaiʻi Office of Wellness and Resilience, Aloha United Way, and Community Children’s Councils.
